Awesome service this week. God was really moving in our service. It was our first service in our newly remodeled sanctuary and the place is beautiful. God has really blessed us with a beautiful facility and with a great crowd each week to minister to. We also added our new piano player this week, and she is absolutely awesome on a keyboard. She made the piano sing beautiful music and added so much to our music team. God is truly good to us (Luke 11:9). Lisa, thank you for being part of our team.

We are gearing up for our big dedication, or re-dedication, service on Oct. 4th. Come join us and invite all your friends and family. You don’t want to miss a great time of worship and fellowship at FWBC. God has put a new face on a faithful ministry and we want to invite you to be part of a growing, thriving ministry that wants to focus on being Christ to our community.

Awesome services this weekend. It was the third weekend in the gym while our facility is being remodeled. Things are looking good as the remodel continues. We will keep you posted as to the progress. Had a great choir practice Sunday afternoon. We are in our third week of working on Christmas music for the upcoming season. I will post more details about what the plan is for our Christmas music as we get closer to it.

We had the opportunity to sing a new song Sunday. An awesome song by a group called Among the Thirsty. The song is titled “I’d Need A Savior”. It is a great song with an outstanding message. You know, all the names attributed to God, all the songs written in Christian music, all the words in the dictionary can’t completely and accurately describe the love that Jesus has for us. The sacrifice He made for me, His ALWAYS being there for me and picking me up when I fall, His presence there for me to hold on to when times are rough and recognizing that knowing how badly and how often I would fail Him, He still willing went to the cross because He knew that I’d need Him as my Savior. Man, if I could keep that in focus every second of every day.

The Lord is my light and salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. A great Sunday at FWBC. Our second Sunday holding services in our gym as our main facility is being remodeled. We are planning on one more weekend in the gym, and then back into our newly remolded sanctuary.

In addition to our new look, when we move back into the main worship facility, we will also be adding a new member to our worship team. Mike and Lisa Corn joined FWBC a couple of weeks ago. Lisa will be joining our worship team as our new piano player. She will be a great addition and asset to our team. Please join me welcoming Mike and Lisa to FWBC, welcoming Lisa to our team.

We had another great service here at FWBC. Our first service in the gym while the renovation happens in the main facility, and it went very well. The plan is for one more week to be in the gym, so this Sunday we will be set up the same way as this past week. We have Bro. Stamper, our missionary to Kenya with us this week. So we will again have combined Sunday School.

Sunday was a good day at FWBC. We had a good morning worship service, the last service in our sanctuary before the remodel starts. Sunday afternoon was busy, with choir practice beginning at 4:30 and then the packing up and storage of all the stuff in the sanctuary. I want to thank everyone from the music department that helped with the work. It couldn’t have been done as quickly and effectively without you guys. It was also very exciting to have more additions to our team in the music department. In the next few weeks I will be sharing more about some of the growth that is happening in the music ministry here at FWBC. These are exciting times and we are looking for God to do great things withing our ministry.

Come join us this Sunday as we will have our worship services in our Gymnasium while the work continues in our sanctuary and main facility.

We will continue to have choir practice the next couple of weeks even though we won’t be in the sanctuary. This will allow us to spend time working on new music, and reviewing music that we will be doing for the Christmas season this year.

Start of a new week, & a new season hear at FWBC

Well, sorry for not having posted anything in the last couple of weeks. It’s just been crazy and time has been at a premium. The remodel of our facility begins this week with the foyer being redone. They will then move into the sanctuary next Monday. So our final service in the sanctuary as we know it will be this coming Sunday. We will then be in the gym for at least one weekend, maybe two. We are excited about the new look that is coming to our facility. I’ve spent the last week tracking down info for new projectors and trying to box up my office so it can be redone. It’s been crazy.

We are also very excited about the new growth in our music ministry. We have added 5 new members to our choir, 1 that will be joining us in a couple of weeks and 1 that has rejoined us after a short absence. I love to see people get involved and be excited about ministry; and I love to see our team grow as we work together to exalt and praise our Savior each week through our music. This is a great time to join our music team, so if you have an ability to sing or play an instrument or work on the technical side of the ministry (sound and A/V team), come see me and let’s talk about how you might be able to get involved in the music department.

So welcome to the team Meagan Reynolds, Leah Blake, Jared Baker, Julie Blake, Rachel Scheidt, Allie Seymour and welcome back Lisa Emenaker. Julie has been part of our team for about 6 years, as our trumpet player, but she is getting adventerous and joining the choir too.

Well, after a great two week vacation we were glad to be back at Fairfield West. We had an awesome service. It was great to have the group from LIFT with us, as camp was going on this week at Cedarville University. We tried something a little different with the music this Sunday. We did an “unplugged” all acoustic instrument setup. It was a great time of just praising and worshiping God in basic form. We enjoyed doing it and hope to be able to do more of it in the future. Thanks to Pastor Rob and Joey for pulling it all together while I was gone.

The choir will be singing this Sunday, so see you all at 9:00 Sunday morning. Also, we will begin getting back into practice the following Sunday, August 2. I look forward to working on some new music and begin to put something together for Christmas (yes, it’s that time already). If you are not currently in the choir but have the ability to sing, we are always in need of more singers as we lift our voices in praise to our Savior each Sunday.

Well, we made it to Florida with no issues and really no traffic. Mom and dad are doing great and dad is coming along very quickly in his recovery and rehab after his back surgery and all the issues that followed. Thank you all for your prayers.

I understand that the first service at FWBC, while we were gone, the projector decided that it didn’t want to participate in the service anymore. I’m guessing that Aaron will be much more hesitant to volunteer to lead the music the next time In-spite of the technical issues, I am confident that God was honored and HIS name praised.

As time permits I will keep everyone updated on things here in sunny Florida. Also, I think I figured out the twitter thing and how to get it setup and to post here on the blog, so I will keep quick posts of what’s going on. Have a great couple of weeks and honor God with every second of every day He gives you.

This Saturday, June 27th at 7:00pm The West Chester Symphony Orchestra will be performing their annual Independance Day Celebration Concert at Keehner Park in West Chester.

Our very own Julie Blake plays first trumpet in the West Chester Symphony. Some of us have gone out the last few years for a great evening of patriotic music, ice cream and fellowship. As well as to support one of our own. Come join us this Saturday.

We had a great Father’s Day service at FWBC. Aaron Candella did an awesome job on the song that he sang in a tribute to fathers. The message was very fitting, in that we as fathers can’t be everything to our children that Christ can be; but that we should desire to be a Christ-like example to our children and that we should give everything we humanly can to protect them, love them and teach them who Christ is and what He wants to be in their lives. We want the love of Christ to live on through our children as a legacy of the love and dedication we showed them.

Remember this Sunday the choir will be sing, so we will have our normal 9:00 rehearsal. We will not have afternoon practice. Enjoy the extended afternoon with your family. Join us for our evening service, were we will be voting on two new deacon positions up for election. Larry Ramsey’s and Ken Rosenbalm’s seats will be up for election. I will try and post a list of all those who will be on the ballot later this week. Also, you can check the pastor’s blog to see if there is a list there as well. We will also give an update on the status of the construction and remodel that is being done. You don’t want to miss all the exciting things happening here at FWBC.
